Welcome to New Plymouth High School---Home of the Pilgrims!

Welcome to New Plymouth High School

danhullAt NPHS we believe that each student has the right to achieve his or her fullest potential. I believe that school principals have the absolute obligation to provide all kids the opportunity to learn and all teachers have the support to teach in a safe, nurturing environment that is focused on student achievement.

Communities and families are the integral component of every school culture. I am confident that our teachers at NPHS have the vision, work-ethic, commitment, and passion for schools to bring people together to create a dynamic learning environment for our students.

I feel we are very fortunate to be at New Plymouth and I feel that we have an outstanding teaching staff at NPHS who are passionate about student achievement. This year we will continue to help our students meet academic benchmarks and find post-secondary opportunities. We will all be working hard as a whole school to help our students achieve success. NPHS will continue collaborating to ensure that each student is meeting the mark in the classroom. The committed staff at NPHS will make our student achievement vision become a reality that can be measured. I am extremely excited to work with our students and staff and we are looking forward to an outstanding year. Go Grims!

NPHS General Information and Athletics

Dear Parent,

Because of the Governor’s orders only 10 fans will be allowed to watch each game at New Plymouth High School. That is one parent or guest per player. If a player participates on two teams we ask that they only have a guest on the team that are on; on the roster. These are the guidelines that we have been given that allow us to continue to have a winter sports season, please be respectful in following these guidelines and work with coaches and administrators to allow this season to continue.

If you cannot attend the games, you can watch New Plymouth High School games on the NFHS Network, live-stream or on-demand. Here’s how:

Watch on your internet browser:

Go to www.nfhsnetwork.com

Click Subscribe if you don’t have a subscription yet. Click Log in if you have a subscription and it does not automatically log you in.

Create a password and choose a subscription option and pay.

Once logged in, find New Plymouth High School in the Browse selection. When you get to the New Plymouth High School page you can click to follow to give you easier access to games. Scroll down to find games that are currently being live-streamed, find games that are upcoming, and find games on demand. Make your selection and enjoy the game.

Watching games on your smart phone, tablet, Roku, Amazon Firestick, or Apple TV:

Download the app from the App Store and open it.

Click Subscribe if you don’t have a subscription yet. Click Log in if you have a subscription and it does not automatically log you in.

Once logged in, find New Plymouth High School in the Search selection. Scroll down to find games that are currently being live-streamed, find games that are upcoming, and find games on demand. Make your selection and enjoy the game.

Notes:

Freshman games start live-streaming at 4:30, JV games start live-streaming at 6:00 and the varsity games start live-streaming at 7:30. If a freshman game runs long (past 6:00) or a JV game runs long (past 7:30) then the end of the game can be watched on the next broadcast. End of the freshman game would be on the JV live-stream and the end of the JV broadcast would be on the varsity live-stream. Recordings may be turned off following the conclusion of a game and the game will then be available on-demand.

Thanks Coach Rupp for developing this action plan.

NPHS Student Vaccinations:

Starting 2020/2021 there is an updated Idaho State school vaccine rule that requires all seniors to have adequate meningococcal immunization, with vaccination records on file at the school.  Your child has been identified as needing a dose of meningococcal vaccine.  If your child has already received this immunization, please bring a copy of those records to the school to be placed in their school file by Friday, November 20th. You may also ask your healthcare provider to fax the updated immunization record to the school (Fax: 208-278-3257). (See attached Flyer)

Thank you, Amanda Mendive, R.N. and Jessie Greene, C.N.A. New Plymouth School Nurse for developing a plan for our senior vaccinations.

  • NPHS Chromebooks; Please remind your students to charge their Chromebooks over the weekend and throughout the week.

Making Healthy Choices

As COVID numbers rise in our state and community, we need to stay the course. Our best approach is to practice what the CDC suggests as appropriate mitigation strategies in regards to the spread of the virus in our community, including healthy hygiene practices, staying home when sick, practicing physical distancing and using cloth face coverings in community settings when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Teachers and students will also continue to wear masks in the building when social distancing will not be possible. Please be sure that the mask covers the nose and mouth to limit the spread of respiratory droplets and secretions. The school will continue to provide reusable masks. Thank you again for your support as we work toward the end of our first semester.  Together, we can do this!

We at NPHS are grateful that you are walking with us during these challenging times. Thank you for partnering with us in the education of your children. We appreciate your support, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at the High School or visit our web site @ http://nphs.npschools.us. or on our Facebook page, or on PowerSchool  (https://npschools.powerschool.com/public/).  (If you have any questions please call us NPHS @ 208.278.5311. “Go Grims “

Thanks for your support
