Dual Credit Progam

The Fast Forward program provides every student attending an Idaho public school an allocation of $4,125.00 to use towards Advanced Opportunities in grades 7-12. The program was expanded by the Legislature in 2016 through the passing of House Bill 458.
The funds can be used for concurrent credit, AP exams, some CTE test fees, and overload courses.

Make sure you request your funds here!
 
UPDATE - if you have received funding in the past and failed the class (whether overload, dual credit, or workforce training) you will need to pay for the next class before funds will be release again, regardless of which type of class was failed in the past.  See the information from the state below.
 
 
Fall - students should be requesting funds and enrolling with the colleges if they are taking the following:

Speech
College Algebra
ANY BSU class
     Computer Science Principles
     Cybersecurity
     Spanish III
ANY NNU class
     Forensic Science
ANY UI class
     Lit 101
     Lit 175
     Lit 102
ANY Semester-long Dual Credit IDLA class

Student deadline to request funds from Advanced Opportunities is October 1 for Fall classes.

If you are unsure if this applies to your student, please contact the teacher or the counseling office.

Spring - students should be requesting funds and enrolling with the colleges if they are taking the following:
 
Science classes with CWI
Math classes (including 2nd semester College Algebra for Trigonometry)
Government
ANY TVCC class
     Plant Science
     Welding
ANY Semester-long Dual Credit IDLA class
 
Student deadline to request funds from Advanced Opportunities is March 8 for Spring classes.
